Summer Flowers: Sentiment Free Sundays # 1

Good Afternoon,
I hope everyone is having a relaxing Sunday! I have been working on making some cards, I decided I wanted to make a stash of cards without any sentiments on them. I figured I could grab one when Im in a rush for any occasion! I thought I could use this idea to start a series called Sentiment Free Sundays! Today will be my first post in this series, I hope to see you along the way!
This is a simple card made with scrap paper in my stash. I used a Peachy Keen Stamp with Momento Tuxedo Black ink as the main flower. First I stamped the flower on white scrap paper. Next I scanned the image into my computer. I then used my Silhouette to cut out the shape of the image. I colored that flower with copic markers. As always I used the same scrap papers to spice up the inside of the card! I think it turned out so cute, very fun and bright! Let me know what you think!

Enjoy!

Good Luck Alligator

Good morning,
Last night I made a card for one of our counselors at work. It is his last day today, he will be missed immensely by the staff and students. I tried to make his card masculine so I used a blue/green/brown color combination. I stamped my image and sentiment using momento tuxedo black ink and colored them with copic markers. I also used the elegant edges cartridge for my stamped image. I entered this card into the following challenge:
Charisma Cardz Challenge # 19

Monthly Scrapbooking Layout - March # 3

Here is my scrapbook page for March. I was on spring break and went hiking with my mom, we also celebrated Easter and visited my grandmother. She had recently fallen out of bed and broke her nose but she is hanging in there! We also went bowling a few times and celebrated Erik's birthday! Below is the double layout followed by close ups of some of the embellishments. I colored some recollections bling with a pink sharpie. I used some embellishments from Hobby Lobby, the rose was personalized with doodles and such. The easter egg and Disney characters were created on the Silhouette. If you would like either cut file let me know! I also stamped and embossed the month as well as doodled around it with a jelly roll pen.

Enjoy!

Monthly Scrapbooking Layout - February # 2

Good evening all!

Tonight I will be posting hopefully the past 2 months of my monthly scrapbooking layout. Here is February - my boyfriend and I went to The Great Wolf Lodge Inn WI. It is an indoor waterpark. I made a studio file on my Silhouette of the lodge logo. I also inked the edges, I think it turned out really great. As always if you want any of my Studio files let me know!

Enjoy!

Monthly Scrapbooking Layout - January # 1

This year I decided to create a 12 x 12 double page layout each month. This will keep me scraping throughout the year and motivate me to do something fun each month! It has been working very well so far. The only problem I have is when I want to put lots of pictures on my double layout and they do not fit. I will be posting the first few months this weekend then I will post each month as the year continues. I also want to try and make a video of the next month, we will see how that goes! Here is January.

Enjoy!

Photoshop Panoramic

I received a DSLR Nikon camera for Christmas and decided to purchase Adobe Photoshop along with it. I have been watching videos and trying to teach myself how to use it. On a recent trip to Disney World I took a few pictures of a painting on the wall so I could try and photoshop the picture together into 1 panoramic, below is what I came up with. I also used the free transform to fix the perspective as much as possible. It has some lighting issues but that will come with practice. Let me know what you think, it was originally 4 images!

Mothers Day Card

Here is a card I made for Mothers Day that I plan on entering into the following challenges:
Cardz TV Challenge "There's No Other Like My Mother" CTV #29
Celebrate the Occasion: Challenge # 111
My Craft Spot: Monday Post # 96
Hiding in My Craft Room # 96
Cut It Up Challenge # 18

I created the card using my Silhouette, I created a cut file from a coloring book page. This card is very fitting for me because my mom and I always joke around and "bug" each other! Let me know what you think and if you would like the Studio cut file I can email it to you just send me a message.

Bridal Shower Card

One of my good friends is getting married and I attended her shower over the weekend. I decided to make her a card matching her black and white invitations. I didn't want to create a standard card so I found a creative alternative from Teachdanz. I used the Elegant Edges Cricut Cartridge along with paper from a Hobby Lobby white and black stack. I cut out the words on my Silhouette since the cuts can be more intricate. The inside is embossed with a hearts folder from Hobby Lobby and I used the computer to print my sentiment on Vellum before attaching it with brads. I wanted black brads and I didn't have any so I just colored the brads with a black sharpie. Even though my friends theme is black and white I thought a pop of color would really add a nice touch. I used a glitter tape roll from Michaels to add a strip of color to the card. Hope you like it! I will be entering this card in the following challenges, check them out and play along:
